Eka Purnama is located on the eastern most tip of Bali in the Amed area, an unspoiled diving region of traditional Balinese fishing villages.

The view from the restaurant and cottages of neighboring Lombok island and its highest volcano Mount Rinjani over the Lombok strait is particularly astounding at sunrise, as colorfully sailed fishing boats from the nearby village make home with the morning catch. Dolphins and whales sometimes participate in this glorious morning picture.

Contemplating this scenery while having breakfast on the front porch of your cottage or in our open air restaurant makes for a good start before heading for the shallow lagoon a few paces downwards through the gardens, where colorful corals and sealife as well as a sunken Japanese ship lie just a few meters off shore. Snorkelling gear can be provided, and other activities arranged.

Surrounded by an exquisite tropical garden ornamented with fish ponds are four cottages, one family house, a restaurant and two outdoor dining decks, all with an equally stunning view of the lagoon and the hills.

All cottages are traditionally styled, furnished with a double plus a single bed, mirrored vanity, a table and chairs. On the front porch are two comfortable chairs, a table and a hammock. Facilities include ceiling fan, bathroom with sink, shower and clean modern toilet.

The family house is a towered two-storey, eight-sided building with a kitchen, a deck around the front three sides facing the ocean and a large Bali map shaped fishpond and spa below the deck. The adjoining bathroom is Balinese style, rock-walled with a roof over the wash table and toilet, open to the sky, moon and stars over the shower and custom marble stone bathtub.

The open-air restaurant with its two outdoors dining decks serves traditional Balinese and Indonesian food as well as western dishes.

One of the best next-to-shore snorkelling spots in the whole Amed area is right in front of Eka Purnama, a few steps down from your bungalow. Eka purnama also has mountain bikes for rent and can arrange sea-kayaking and guided or unguided trekking in the surrounding hills.

Diving, instruction and certification can easily be organised with nearby PADI certified companies, as Amed is one of the main diving centers in Bali.
